JOB DESCRIPTION  

Depending on experience, responsibilities may include: 

  • Create new/Update existing manufacturing test process documentation of assigned areas of coverage
  • Review daily production AQEs (quality issues), filter and resolve when possible
  • Prepare AQEs process documentation and communicate issues, as needed, for daily production
  • Provide support to Continuous Improvement (CI) and Safety projects and initiatives. Own and coordinate assigned projects
  • Support the implementation of manufacturing solutions within assigned areas of coverage
  • Issue Purchase Orders for acquiring manufacturing test tooling, lifting devices and fixtures
  • Receive and deliver purchased items while maintaining status reports of purchased items for control and traceability
  • Issue Statement of Work(SOW) for modifying, moving or installing fixtures, equipment of special tooling approved by the Mfg. Engineer area owner to the shop floor
  • Follow up implementation of SOWs to the shop floor
  • Troubleshoot test software(WMA, VMC, Pinpoint, PLC), hardware, engineering and design limits, and other issues
  • Develop manufacturing hands-on training to be able to diagnose, identify, and propose effective solutions to daily test manufacturing process inquiries
  • First point of contact for test process related shop floor questions, issues, and/or concerns
  • Communicate major issues to area owners for resolution
  • Address test manufacturing issues. Work with engineering and technical leads to troubleshoot and resolve issues or inquiries
  • Provide technical and analytical support as needed

 

REQUIREMENTS 

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or similar field is required
  • Must have 3+ years of experience in the manufacturing industry
  • Experience in manufacturing testing is desired
  • PLC programming experience is desired
  • Understanding of manufacturing operations, fixture and tooling design is desired, experience preferred
  • Must have good blueprint reading skills and experience with GD&T
  • Analytical, technical, and problem solving skills
  • High energy and a demonstrated ability to implement and get results are essential
  • Detail oriented with troubleshooting and project leadership skills
  • Strong ability to handle a high workload and manage priorities is required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
  • Must be self-directed, self-starter, and be able to multi-task and prioritize
  • Must enjoy working in a team environment, and have strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
