Key skills:

  • Technical background, Engineering Degree preferred, but Business Degree acceptable if technical experience and product/processing understanding supports the end goal of bringing in new steel stamped and welded products business.
  • A demonstrated book of business in mid-high volume steel stampings and secondary processes with already existing potential Customer contacts to call on.
  • Ability to identify new Customers and Markets that would be well aligned to buy stamped/welded products that LMC is most capable to produce.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop long-term relationships with high level decision makers...and an ability to make business happen.
  • Excellent problem identification and problem solving skills as demonstrated by experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling industry trends and market-based pricing.

Experience & background requirements:

  • At least 8 years success in selling and servicing a host of multi-million dollar metal stamped components and subassemblies projects to multiple Customers.
  • Experience in certain markets that would be a good fit for LMC's business such as automotive, appliances, medical devices, or any other market requiring metal and/or plastic over molded metal parts and assemblies.
  • Prior hands-on factory floor manufacturing experience helpful...or solid knowledge of stamped product processing.
  • Outside sales experience and a book of new Customer prospects that fit our business. Additionally, a specific and credible plan for achieving business awards with that book of prospects.
  • Sense of urgency for prospecting and demonstrated persistence in finding Customers who appreciate LMC's capabilities and value proposition.

Key Accountabilities:

  • A new 'Sales Hunter' capable of building and managing relationships with Customers and prospects.
  • Effectively communicate and demonstrate LMC expertise and capabilities for meeting customer needs, using LMC technical personnel and other resources as necessary.
  • Achieve positive business outcomes and on-going growth with identified key Customer prospects.
  • Develop and share market and customer intelligence with LMC Leadership to align our capabilities with customer needs.
  • Demonstrate leadership and desire to improve LMC internal processes. Support and comply with LMC Quality standards, ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
