Position Summary
Perform advanced level engineering design, detail and problem solving.

Recognize, define, and develop new concepts.
Apply process knowledge to influence design.
Model assemblies for machine segments or modules meeting specifications.
Provide designs that are manufacturable and meet safety standards.
Present or participate in review of designs.
Complete assigned work within established schedule.
Originate design documentation with minimal errors including part and assembly drawings, Bill of Materials, Specification sheets, Modification kits, and project files.
Develop creative solutions or alternatives to assigned problems/opportunities.
Understand roles of other functions and provide project support as appropriate.
Participate in team processes and contribute to team objectives.
Communicate fully with supervisor and others that have a need to know in a timely, effective manner.
Abide by corporate policies and quality system procedures.
Carry out job responsibilities in a safe manner and contribute to safety and well being of self and others.
Assume responsibility for designs valued up to $125,000.
Train less experienced personnel on established methods and facilitate transfer of technical knowledge.

Qualifications/Skills Required
Competency in design and use of engineering system tools.
Exhibits willingness and ability to increase knowledge through continuous education.
Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function of the position.

Education/Experience Required
2-year technical degree or equivalent
Typically, 6 years related experience

Coverage during certain periods.

Work Environment
Climate controlled office environment, no physical discomfort due to temperature, dust, noise and the like. May have limited exposure to manufacturing areas that require the usage of PPE.

Physical Demands
Frequently required to sit. Occasional walking, standing, stooping and kneeling. Frequently lift up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
