We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to enter and maintain data, reconcile accounts, and resolve discrepancies for our Accounting Department.

Position Purpose

The Accounting Associate provides support to the Finance Department through bookkeeping and the maintenance of accounting documents.

Essential Functions

• Demonstrates accounting practices and recordkeeping in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Documents transactions related to the general ledger, accounts receivables or accounts payables
• Codes and enters high volume accounts payable and accounts receivable information
• Reconciles accounts and resolves discrepancies
• Accurately prepares and maintains other accounting documents and records as necessary
• Assists with annual audits and takes on additional responsibilities as needed
• Maintains relationships with customers and vendors as needed
• Flexible/non-traditional schedule may be required
• Performs other necessary functions as assigned

Qualifications Preferred

Knowledge

• 1-3 years related experience in finance, accounting, or related field
• Associates Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• Comfortable with learning and using new technologies
• Sufficient experience with the Microsoft Office suite
