Position Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist

Location: St. Charles, MO


Position Summary:

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for processing invoices, applying customer payments, resolving payment discrepancies, preparing deposits, and making collection calls.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Apply customer payments and credits on accounts
  • Review invoice batches for accuracy and completeness prior to posting in Great Plains and Cyrious Control (i.e..: review of applicable sales tax, GL accounts)
  • Record invoices on customer/third party AP systems per customer's requirements
  • Research and resolve payment discrepancies
  • Post credit card payments and credits
  • Prepare manual deposits
  • Enter debits / credits on customer accounts as necessary
  • Administer and reconcile petty cash monthly
  • Prepare account reconciliations as assigned
  • Maintain customer accounts in Great Plains & Cyrious Control (initial setup, customers on hold, payment terms, etc.)
  • Reconcile and post intercompany transactions
  • Backup for company credit card process including review of expense reports, posting of expenses to MO's and in payables
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers
  • Compile information and prepare spreadsheets to assist with external audits (financial, lenders, sales & use tax)
  • Assist with Accounts Payable transactions as needed
  • Other general accounting duties as assigned

Required Skills:

  • Education: Associate degree or equivalent, or 1 years or more related experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Attention to detail with the ability to write professional business correspondence, and clearly articulate business communication
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people (internal and external) and in a team environment

Physical Skills:

Must be able to remain stationary in a sitting position for up to 8 hours a day

Ability to communicate via phone and in person to vendors and employees

Required use of fingers and hands to operate a computer
