Position Title: PDM Administrator

Location: St. Charles, MO

Position Summary: The PDM Administrator will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a PDM (Product Data Management) system for our industrial and experiential marketing business units, managing 3D CAD standards, and training for those areas. Responsibilities will include maintaining configuration and revision control within CAD/PDM for various projects and iterations of those projects.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for administration of PDM including implementation, development, and optimization of the system.
  • Support users (current and new) with training. Development of training documentation (basic and advanced training on PDM, processes and best practices).
  • Support users (current and new) with troubleshooting.
  • Create, organize, and manage 3D CAD master models for industrial and experiential projects.
  • Create and maintain standard CAD templates for Engineering department.
  • Optimize the organization of master models so that the Engineering department can work efficiently.
  • Support of projects including the development or advancements of design toolsets utilizing CAD best practices.

Required Skills:

  • High school diploma and 3+ years of PDM experience.
  • Proficient with 3D CAD modeling in Solidworks.
  • Experience with file management.
  • Experience with large assembly models.
  • Experience with drafting and GD&T.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to be organized and communicate across multiple groups to maintain models, drawing, and documentation.
  • Ability to communicate technical challenges and provide guidance to varied audiences to gain support and/or resolve concerns.
  • Ability to work on individual initiatives and prioritize tasking to fit within the business goals.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities.
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Preferred Skills

  • 5 + years engineering experience.
  • Experience with sheet metal and weldments.
  • 3 years of experience with Solidworks.
  • Experience with DriveWorks.
  • Certified Solidworks PDM Professional Administrator (CPAP).

Physical:

  • Sit for long periods of time.
  • Required to stand, walk, and lift 40 lbs. in a manufacturing environment.
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
