Integrated Facility Services is a leading Mechanical Contractor in Missouri, servicing the St. Louis metropolitan area for 55 years. IFS provides HVAC, building automation, plumbing, fire protection, and system design and installation. The Customer Service Representative/ Service Dispatcher position is responsible for processing orders for service received by mail, telephone, fax or e-mail or personally from customers or company employees. Integrated Facility Services is 100% employee owned and operated with an ESOP- excellent retirement benefit and profit sharing.

Essential Functions

  1. Answer incoming calls to service department
  2. Enter service requests into system
  3. Assign and dispatch service orders to technicians
  4. Verify and submit payroll weekly
  5. Responsible for communications through many different online portals for service requests
  6. Perform preliminary billing steps through the service dispatch board such as approving assets, adding standard charges, approving visits, etc.
  7. Miscellaneous administrative work as needed such as typing, copying, filing, etc.

Supervisory Responsibility

This role has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. This position may require walking primarily on a level surface for periods of time as well as reaching above shoulder heights or below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques are required. This position may occasionally lift up to 25 pounds for files and computer printouts.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and typical hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.


No travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

  1. High school diploma or GED diploma, or one to three years' related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience learning a company specific software package
  3. Experience working in a fast paced environment while managing multiple priorities

Preferred Education and Experience

Experience in the construction industry, especially in a service department, is preferred.
