The ideal candidate will have related accounting experience and have strong communication skills. Candidates must be extremely organized, self-reliant, proactive, and detail oriented.  This position will focus on various billing requirements for  projects. 

 Summary of Job Functions:

  • Review contracts to determine owner/contractor billing requirements.
  • Set up and maintain billing folders on assigned projects, including compilation of necessary documents.
  • Working with project manager, set up and maintain project information for assigned projects within accounting system.
  • Review and verify projects costs; make sure that costs are included in billings according to contracts.
  • Monitor project progress and coordinate with project manager on requirements related to change orders and documentation.
  • Prepare customer billings according to their requirements, including all necessary backup (AIA forms, lien waivers, etc.).
  • Send prepared billings to customer according to their instructions, and post billings within Sachs' accounting system.
  • Adjust billings and receivables balances as directed by Accounting Department management.
  • Provide prompt, courteous and accurate customer support in resolution of customer inquiries.
  • Assist in project closing procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by Accounting Department management.             

       Required Skills and Attributes:

  •  Microsoft Office software Excel skills are particularly relevant.
  • Good reasoning skills both numerical and analytical with a strong attention to detail.
  • Even-keeled personality; ability to work under tight time deadlines.
  • Good "people" and communication skills.
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong organizational skills, along with the ability to work independently.
  • Candidates with prior experience working in billing or accounting roles within the Construction industry are preferred.
