Care STL Health, formerly Myrtle Hilliard Davis Comprehensive Health Centers, Inc. is seeking a full-time Compliance Analyst assists with implementing an effective compliance program to prevent illegal, unethical or improper conduct. The Compliance Analyst works in conjunction with the Corporate Compliance Officer by helping to maintain legal and regulatory compliance through research and communicating requirements.

 

Duties:

  • Compile information by providing overviews of disclosures, breaches, and investigation results as requested by supervisors and keeps departments abreast of requirements by writing and communicating guidelines
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information (monthly, quarterly, and annually)
  • Develop, initiate, maintain, and revise policies and procedures for the general operation of the Compliance Program and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct and assists with the day-to-day operation of the Program
  • Provides reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested, to keep the Corporate Compliance Committee of the Board and senior management informed of the operation and progress of compliance efforts
  • Manage the compliance portal notifications for exclusions from federal agencies like the Office of Inspector General (OIG) and System for Award Management (SAM)  at least monthly
  • Develop and periodically reviews and updates policy and procedures to ensure continuing currency and relevance in providing guidance to management and employees
  • Works with the Human Resources Department and others as appropriate to develop an effective compliance training program, including appropriate introductory training for new employees as well as ongoing training for all employees and managers
  • Maintain risk management and internal auditing by investigating and resolving direct compliance issues
  • Responds to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and standard protocol by recommending the initiation of investigative procedures
  • Monitors, and as necessary, coordinates compliance activities of the departments to remain abreast of the status of all compliance activities and to identify trends
  • Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develops/implements corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future
  • Institutes and maintains an effective compliance communication program for the organization, including promoting (a) use of the Compliance Hotline or confidential voicemail for reporting; (b) heightened awareness of policies, procedures, and standards, and (c) understanding new and existing compliance issues and related policies and procedures
  • Monitors the performance of the Compliance Program and relates activities on a continuing basis, taking appropriate steps to improve its effectiveness
  • Researches regulations by reviewing regulatory bulletins and other sources of information (i.e. webinars)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration required
  • Master's degree or similar qualifications, preferred

 

Experience:

  • A minimum of three 3 years of experience in Research Skills, Reporting Research Results, Building Relationships, Coordination, Audit, and General Computer Skills required
  • Experience working in Federally Qualified Health Centers, the Bureau of Primary Care, HRSA and/or non-profit organization, preferred
    • Other:  Must have reliable transportation.
