Grant and Corporate Relations Manager

YWCA Metro St. Louis is seeking an experienced professional for the Grant and Corporate Relations Manager. The Grant and Corporate Relations Manager will work with the CDO to build relationships with corporate, foundation, and government relations via in person meetings as well as the grant management process.

This individual will be responsible for sustaining a positive and mutually rewarding relationship between YWCA and its donors; partner with department leadership to determine the best strategies for effective grant composition and management; maintain ongoing and active networking with internal and external constituencies.


Lead/manage the organization's corporate and foundation relations efforts to raise budget targets as specified by Board, management and approved strategic directives

Actively involved in Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) processes and standards

Conduct research with respect to potential, current and past sources via internet, verbal communication with grant sources, written communication with grant sources and other means

Facilitate grant proposal process to foundation, corporate and government sources

Maintain and adhere to grant schedules/calendar

Establish new grant partnerships while maintaining existing donor relationships

Coordinate event sponsorship and corporate giving in conjunction with the Special Events and Volunteer Manager

Develop a targeted sponsor list for special events based on existing and desired corporate relationships

Leverage relationships of the CEO, CDO, Board, Event Committees, Academy members and other affinity groups in the cultivation and stewardship of grant and corporate contributions


The successful candidate will have demonstrated success in grant writing; advanced understanding of the motivations of corporates and foundations to give philanthropically; exceptional written and oral communication and interpersonal skills; strong leadership skills; and the ability to work well as part of a team.

Bachelor's degree in English, communications, marketing, public relations, business, or public administration required. Master's degree preferred.
