Annie Malone has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resource Coordinator!


The HR Coordinator will also perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization's human resource procedures.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. (This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.)
  • Assist with recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate senior-level management
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level management
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately
  • May assist with payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks
  • Conducts or assists with new hire orientation
  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations
  • Manages permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for HRIS users.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Associates degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field AND four or more years of human resource experience OR; a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field AND two or more years of human resource experience required
  • Quality Assurance experience is a plus
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software required
  • Must have a current Valid Driver's License
  • Must be authorized to work in the US
