The HR Manager directs and coordinates all human resources functions to include talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, training and development, safety, and employee relations.  This is a key role in the Company providing guidance on federal, state and local legal requirements and leading policy development for the organization.  The HR Manager also helps set the tone for the Company by promoting a positive, team oriented and safety-minded work culture.  Limited travel (less than 25%).



Control Devices, LLC ("Control Devices" or "CD") is a leading designer and manufacturer of high quality, flow control valves sold into a broad range of end markets.  CD prides itself in the ability to design, innovate and manufacture flow control valves for custom applications and also offers a line of standard products that has grown over the years.  CD is based in Fenton, MO and its products are sold on a global basis to O.E.M's, Distributors and End Users.  


Control Devices is a privately owned company with a seasoned management team focused on organic sales growth with existing products and new product innovation.  The Company is also growing the business with an active acquisition strategy.






         Human Resources Leader - Plans, organizes and completes all HR activities for the Company.  Manages HR department (one direct report) and owns relationships with HR service providers.

         Talent Acquisition and Retention Leads recruiting efforts for the Company.  Works with HR Generalist and department leaders to ensure key positions are filled with the best possible resources.  Develops compensation, benefits and employee relations strategies that promote retention.

         Compensation Leader in the organization developing compensation strategies to attract and retain people.  Responsible for timely and accurate payroll processing.

         Benefits Responsible for setting Company's benefits strategy, managing the annual selection process, and administering the various Company plans.

         Regulations and Reporting Key leader in the organization keeping up to date with changing federal, state and local regulations.  Primary person responsible for ensuring the Company is compliant.  Responsible for all required reporting.

         Policies and Procedures - Responsible for setting policies and procedures that keep the Company in compliance with statutory requirements while optimizing Company performance.

         Training and Development Key resource in the Company mentoring managers and supervisors on employee relations and ensuring a clear understanding of Company policies and procedures.  Responsible for developing and maintaining Company specific training and apprenticeship programs.

         Safety Actively participate in audits and investigations to ensure a safe work environment.  Responsible for developing and delivering all annual required trainings (i.e. OSHA training).  Oversee work comp process to ensure proper and timely reporting.  Maintain OSHA 300 and 300A log.

         Acquisition Integration Responsible for all employee related functions associated with acquisitions to include drafting agreements, onboarding, benefit coordination, relocation, outplacement services, and regulatory compliance.







         A Bachelor of Science in Human Resources, Training and Development or equivalent

         PHR or SPHR certification is preferred



         5+ years progressive experience in a human resources position

         Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration

         Strong understanding of state and federal requirements and regulations



         Proven ability to effectively mentor, coach, and manage employees to drive improved performance

         Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, FMLA, ADA, ACA, unemployment, workers' compensation, and etc. 

         Able to excel in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple work assignments simultaneously

         Problem solving, interpersonal, planning and organizing skills

         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

         Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations at all levels of the organization

         Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel



         Familiarity of control documents and change procedures

         Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment

         Knowledge of OSHA and ISO Audit requirements

         OSHA 10HR or 30HR certified

         Previous involvement with acquisitions

         Previous experience with ADP Workforce Now

         Bi-lingual'Bosnian and English
