Description

The Training & Development Manager is responsible for the development and coordination of trainings as well as the development of internal associates. The focus of this role is the ongoing growth and of Build-A-Bear employees through the creation and implementation of progressive programs and trainings. This individual will work with various business partners to identify training needs while creating and facilitating the trainings in person as well as on virtual platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate and coordinate the design of training courses including materials, facilitation, and company-wide implementations
  • Create instructional design and learning plans for new hires and current employees
  • Handle the tracking and administration of training programs
  • Ensuring compliance with sexual harassment training across the company
  • Support the communication of training processes and programs
  • Oversee the progression of the personal and professional development initiative
  • Complete needs analysis to determine training and performance needs within the organization
  • Account for associate development programs in order to create a pipeline of talent
  • Work alongside Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Manager to implement necessary workshops
  • Accountable for individual associate development programs in order to create a pipeline of talent

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5-7 years of experience in training and development or related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint required
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Flexible and adaptable to change
  • Valuable customer service skills
