A Dock Clerk is responsible for routine clerical and data entry functions that support the production teams.


Essential Functions

  • Distribute, assign and complete warehouse management system tasks
  • Monitor required process completion standards to ensure on time delivery schedules
  • Ensure all deliveries are dispatched promptly, accurately and with all necessary documentation.
  • Accurately process paperwork, gather and verify data and transfer data into a standard format.
  • Generate correspondence, respond to routine inquiries and perform a variety of clerical duties.
  • Maintain various computerized reports, charts and graphs.
  • Communicate issues to appropriate TVS personnel.
  • Safely and efficiently operate material handling equipment (forklift) as needed
  • Perform housekeeping tasks such as sweeping and removing scrap, pallets, cardboard, etc.

Work Environment

This job is performed in a busy warehouse environment with high forklift traffic. Warehouses are subject to seasonal temperatures. Steel-toed shoes, safety glasses and vests are required personal protective equipment (PPE).

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee regularly sits on a powered forklift and is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee may occasionally be required to lift 70 pounds and push/pull up to 105 pounds; visual acuity and ability to decipher colors is required.





Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a forklift in a busy warehouse environment
  • OSHA-endorsed forklift certification or ability to become certified
  • Basic computer skills and experience with a warehouse management system
  • Prior work experience in a warehouse and/or a Just-in-Time (JIT) environment preferred
  • Knowledge of safety practices

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work/Benefits

This is a full-time hourly (non-exempt) position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday with periodic mandatory weekends and overtime required.   Eligible to participate in the company's benefit package first of the month following 60 days of employment



No travel is required between locations
